I now have, at work, a desk which can be raised and lowered at the touch of a button. I have for a long while been curious about the affects of standing instead of sitting, while I work, and now I get to explore them. Thus far I like it, though with the notable caveat that there’s still times I prefer to sit.
Unfortunately I spend literally 23.5 hours of every weekday, and sometimes weekends, sitting or lying down. Or at least have been doing so, prior to this new desk. That can’t be healthy. So I will endeavour to stand as much as I can. In addition to helping my back a bit, hopefully, it presumably has a slight fitness benefit.
