When Rob gave me the board & associated cabling, he left out the all-import 25 to 9 pin converter for the serial cable... d'oh. Since I've never, for my own purposes, had any use for RS-232 in my life, I of course didn't have one. Neither did Travis. Hours later when Aidan arrived home, it turned out he did. But 'till then, I could only try in vain to manually bridge the two cables. Long story short, absolutely no success at all. Not even a glimmer of hope.
