Main telescope base
The base of the main 72 inch telescope, that sadly no longer exists. The CCD used to capture images was bought 2nd-hand from the military, and was capable of measuring close to individual photons (if memory serves). It had only 800,000 pixels, but by long exposure and interpolation the resulting images could be collossal resolutions. One day I'll dig up some of the original, full resolution happy snaps we took with it. :)
